i'm a 20-yr-plus practitioner, RYT500 certified by Mark Stephens, plus an equal number of hours with many of the architects of our modern asana practice … including Rodney Yee, Judith Lassater, Richard Freeman, and others. i'm currently deepening my studies through Rod Stryker's comprehensive and immersive masterclass program.

in my practice, and in my teaching, the wisdom of the breath takes increasing precedence … where the heart tells us each where to go, the breath shows us all how to get there.

in asana, i advocate for unpretentious efficiency, movement as medicine, and always spinal health. it’s my hope that asana be practiced as a means to an energetic experience rather than an end in itself.

for most of the past 30 years i’ve made my home in ketchum, idaho. i find connection to the divine among the rivers and mountains here, through encounters from serene to extreme. i’ve also been found among the urban wilderness … my past professional history extends from the nyc literary scene, to multimedia design, to human psychometrics … i’ve immersed myself in large-scale installation art, and i’m forever a musician at heart.
